Intercultural German Studies
Communication in everyday university life, even beyond language, and interculturality as a framework for knowledge.
Associate Professor of Intercultural German Studies and German as a Foreign Language at the Université Hassan II Casablanca. Associated researcher at the University of Göttingen.

I am an Associate Professor of Intercultural German Studies at the Faculté des Lettres et des Sciences Humaines Aïn Chock, Université Hassan II Casablanca, and an associated researcher at the University of Göttingen. I studied in Fez and Göttingen, where I was awarded my doctorate in 2016. Before moving to Casablanca in 2021, I was a member of the Collaborative Research Centre 1136 ‘Education and Religion’. I completed my habilitation in 2026 and have held my current position since June 2026.
I see research and teaching as a unity: questions of foreign language acquisition and of teaching German language and culture in Morocco shape my seminars as much as my academic work.
